Should’ve known given the subtle signs
It has taken me ages to recognize

Fear of loss flickering just behind my thoughts
Silent dread lurking in my stilted breath
Subliminal guarding against unknowable surrender

To the more that is Becoming

The more of open mind and heart
The more of grace and kindness calling
The more of me, of you, of Us

Breathe, listen, allow, accept
