Ode to Marilyn’s Garden

Behold this fine place
Fair sanctuary
Seeded by grace
Regarded with glee

Every frond, every petal
Revealing new life
Each blossom, each nettle
A healing of strife

Everywhere the eyes gaze
Waits a lively allure
Bound to melt and amaze
Both bold and demure

A feast for the senses
Wonders spark at each turn
With pathways and altars
Floral bridges to burn

To breathe with the elements
And delight with the day
To be touched by pure elegance
A blend of mortal and fey

Basking in the scented air
All who visit feel blessed
By this sacred garden where
Heart and soul come to rest

But who could create
Such a magical home
For human, for critter
For deva and gnome?

It is she, Stellar Beauty
A Dreamer of Light
Making merry by day
Stirring mystery by night.
