Poetry

Ode To Raven

how you touch me little one
your sweet allure and boundless fun

your wide-eyed wonder begs a smile
your clever moves so filled with guile

you speak tongues of cat and bird
and whisper trills of songs unheard

enthralled with leaves and bits of string
you bring delight to everything

your bounce and plops amuse for days
your kitten-ness has changed my ways

my mind afraid to love again
you’ve changed all that my precious friend.
