Poetry

In The Pause

To embrace a sweet hiatus
Or let its pull claim you
Beyond life’s rushing river
For no apparent reason
Or specific season
Is a gift of allowing.

To melt into a quiet lull
Released of the mind’s demand
In favor of a glistening empty
Oasis for your soul
A space to bathe in freedom
With no directed goal.

To be, or not to be
An antiquated ask
The heart requires no answers
When tranquility prevails
And consciousness seeps softly
Beyond a thousand veils.
