Make Me One

Make me one with everything.
Or if not everything
Make me one with the nebulas
That yes incubate their embryonic stardust.
Perhaps if not the nebulas
Make me one with the glimmering Milky Way
That shimmers and spans the inky dark.
And if not the Milky Way
Make me one with our solar system
An octad circle dance around a single stellar kettle.
But if not the solar system
Make me one with this big blue marble
With its gravity tether and creation’s myriad experiments.
Yet if not with the earth entire
Then with the niche in which I neighbor.
Howsoever if not my niche
Then let me be one with those whose souls I cherish most specially.
Again if not those treasures
Make me one with the beloved who unlocks my beyondest human love.
But wait if that cannot be then
Make me one with the epiphany of who I was born to be.
Let me be my best self that I may serve the yearning
At the heart of it all.
And then
Make me one with everything.
